LABEL GUIDELINES
Let Secondi recycle those "like new" wrong shopping choices into cash for you! Your first consignment should be done by appointment, so that we can go over what we accept, what we can sell for you, and at what price. Our experienced staff will go over all your items carefully and explain why we take what we do. You then approve the prices, and your items hit the floor the same day! Our inventory turnover rate is extremely high, and we have had consistent success selling consigned pieces at the best price for both consigner and shopper. You will leave the store with an itemized list of the items you have consigned with us and a tax form for the items that have been donated. Once you have consigned with us, you may do a drop off.

You will receive 50 % of the selling price of each item. Secondi has a unique discount system that keeps customers coming back! For other contract conditions, please see our terms.

We accept women's clothing and accessories that are no older than 2 years old, in excellent condition, and most important-in fashion! (No Hammer pants, zoot suits, acid-washed jeans, etc)
We accept better department store and designer labels. Please see our label guidelines if you are unsure. These are only guidelines, of course, not hard and fast rules. Use your best judgment.

  • We accept casual, office, dressy, and evening wear. We also take shoes, bags, belts, sunglasses, and jewelry. If a woman can wear it, we'll consider it.
  • We can't sell items that are very wrinkly or stained in any way. Items should be recently cleaned, pressed, and on hangers. (Within reason, of course. You don't need to iron your jeans!)
  • We accept clothes that are in-season or are just anticipating the next season. We can't hold your fall items in April-we just don't have the space! Clothes sell quickly and at better prices when the season is right. Towards the end of each season we grow more and more selective:

  • Consignor will receive 50 % of selling price.
  • It is the responsibility of the consignor to contact Secondi concerning her account after a period of four weeks. 
  • Please call once a month to check on your account and arrange for payment.
  • Checks will be mailed by request. We deduct $1.00 for postage & handling. (Please request checks no more than once a month.)
  • Secondi reserves the right to donate items found to be soiled, damaged, or defective in any way.
  • Secondi donates all unsold items to charity after the expiration date.
  • Secondi can provide tax forms, if requested before the first of the year.
  • Consignors will not be able to retrieve items once they have been consigned at Secondi.
  • Merchandise is left at consigner's risk.
  • Secondi cannot be responsible for loss or damage for any reason whatsoever.
  • Secondi is not responsible for damages due to handling, fire, theft, or shoplifting.

Once you've consigned with us by appointment, you are free to drop off your items in the future.  Please See Drop Off Schedule. The benefit is that you can bring your items in anytime that is convenient for you, but beware that we will price your items at our convenience, and will automatically donate any items to charity that we don't accept. We will include a tax form for the items we donate when we mail you your itemized list. To speedup the process prior to drop off , you may want to fill out the listing form or simply allow enough time to do so when you arrive. You will not be able to retrieve any items you leave in a drop-off, and nothing will be returned to you. Our staff prices the items at their discretion, and these prices will appear on your itemized list. (Please limit drop offs to 20 pieces or less. Also please include a separate list in each bundle.)

If you are not in agreement with this procedure, you may prefer to make a schedule appointment, at which time your items will be sorted and priced in your presence.
